While in Raleigh, I grabbed dinner at Poole's Diner. The chef, Ashley Christensen, won the James Beard Award for the Southeast last year. And yes, the Mac n' cheese is amazing.
I did manage to stop by Furbish, which was lovely but not chock full of furniture as I hoped. I thought I'd buy pillows but I couldn't make up my mind--I really prefer piping or a self welt on pillows, and my favorite patterns had neither. Also, Turkish corners anyone? If I'm paying $100/pillow, I need a little somethin' somethin'.
Btw, I'm so in love with the panther stuff.

But next door to Furbish, I discovered Moon & Lola. Since it is one of Oprah's favorite things, I am clearly a little late on the uptake here. I grabbed a bracelet and mentally bookmarked some more pieces to buy online later.

They are known for being all plastic monogram-y and super personaliz-able. Which is nice. But I really liked their more delicate pieces.
They also have semi-personal ready to go--zodiac, initials, states. In person the pieces are a good quality (I'd say better than BaubleBar on average), particularly for the price.
Actually, their pieces are better quality in person than they are on their website. This ring was soooo cute in person. Very sparkly, a nice shade of gold--it was the item I was debating vs. the bracelet. This pic does not inspire me to buy it. At all.
As I was pulling pics for this post, I happened upon this article on the company from a local magazine--apparently, it was founded by a pharmacist. Ahh, second careers....
Beautiful homes. Wow!
