I have two weeks left of maternity leave, and have therefore been spending my time doing crafts and bonding with my baby cleaning and sleeping. I have also been internet shopping.
I bought these shelves for Henry's room (board books). This site sells acrylic displays...its kinda awesome. So I also bought this; with proper styling I think it will be a good addition to my room.
I bought gate check bags for my stroller and carseat along with two unfairly expensive tickets to NYC for next Tuesday. Charles James, here we come.
I bought some toy storage. Prices have really gone down here--$70 ain't bad; it has arrived but is still unassembled.

I bought a juju hat off ebay. Yeah, I know--maybe spending my days visually chugging Mad Men episodes and reading "it" books I missed from 2008 and 2010 have left me confused about what year it is. But I've always loved them and I'm tired of the empty hole above my fireplace and while they are pricey, try getting a nice 32" wide print framed for less that $300. So let's hope the color works....
I bought this print, too.
PS: Incase you are also super behind on your reading--Stacey Schiff's Cleopatra and What Hath God Wrought are both excellent.
PPS: Trivia alert: The phrase "What hath God wrought" was the first phrase sent by telegraph. It is a phrase from the Bible's Book of Numbers, and in many (all?) English translations the phrase has an exclamation point at the end. It was transmitted by telegraph without punctuation (morse code, yo), but the news coverage of the historic message added a question mark at the end. Punctuation, my friends.
Looks like you have been buying up some cool stuff. Where will the Astronaut Bear live? Love the acrylic. Looking forward to hearing about the Charles James show.....
